Swifties for Hope is committed to making our website welcoming, inclusive, and usable for people of all abilities. We believe everyone should be able to learn about our work, explore the causes we support, and find a way to participate.
OUR COMMITMENT
We are working to provide a digital experience that respects the different ways people navigate, read, listen to, understand, and interact with online content.
Accessibility is an ongoing responsibility. As the website grows, we will continue reviewing its content, design, and functionality and making improvements where barriers are identified.
ACCESSIBILITY GOAL
Our goal is to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. WCAG provides internationally recognized guidance for making web content more perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for people with disabilities.
CURRENT CONFORMANCE STATUS
The website has not yet completed a formal accessibility evaluation, so we are not currently making a claim of full or partial WCAG conformance. We are using WCAG 2.2 Level AA as a guiding standard during design, development, content creation, and ongoing maintenance.
We will update this statement as the website is evaluated and as our accessibility practices evolve.
HOW WE SUPPORT ACCESSIBILITY
We work to support accessibility by:
- Using clear headings, page structures, labels, and instructions.
- Supporting keyboard navigation and visible keyboard focus.
- Providing meaningful alternative text for informative images.
- Using readable typography and sufficient color contrast.
- Labeling form fields and presenting helpful error messages.
- Avoiding content that flashes or moves in ways that may create barriers.
- Providing captions, transcripts, or other alternatives for multimedia when applicable.
- Writing links and calls to action that make sense in context.
- Considering accessibility when choosing third-party tools, platforms, and services.
FEEDBACK AND ASSISTANCE
We welcome feedback from people with disabilities and from anyone who encounters an accessibility barrier on the website.
If you have difficulty accessing content, completing a form, or using a feature, please contact us through the Contact page. If possible, include:
- The page or feature where you experienced the problem.
- A short description of what happened.
- The browser, device, or assistive technology you were using, if you are comfortable sharing it.
- The best way for us to respond to you.
We will review accessibility feedback and respond as soon as reasonably possible.
ALTERNATIVE FORMATS
If any website content is not accessible to you, contact us and tell us what information you need and which format would work best. We will make a reasonable effort to provide the content in an accessible alternative format.
THIRD-PARTY CONTENT AND SERVICES
The website may link to or use content, tools, forms, videos, social platforms, donation processors, event platforms, voter-information resources, or other services provided by third parties.
We may not control the accessibility of third-party services. We encourage those providers to offer accessible experiences and will consider accessibility when selecting services. If a third-party feature creates a barrier, please let us know so we can help identify an alternative when reasonably possible.
KNOWN LIMITATIONS
Because a formal accessibility assessment has not yet been completed, there may be barriers we have not identified. New content and third-party materials may also introduce temporary accessibility issues.
Please report any problem you encounter. We will use that feedback to prioritize corrections and improve the experience.
ONGOING IMPROVEMENT
Accessibility is part of building a community where everyone belongs. We intend to review this statement, our content, and key website experiences periodically and update them as our work develops.
